Book famine is a huge problem throughout the African continent. A Hand In Health is partnering with Books for Africa to tackle this problem one book at a time.
A Hand in Health has worked in The Gambia, West Africa since its founding in 2006.
In August 2010, they installed a medical library at the Sulayman Junkung General Hospital. They brought over 7,500 books and created a community library that is state of the art. With one project completed they continued to identify partners and contacts and now want to reach 1 Million Books!
